Fresh Produce Distribution, which began in 2004, is Hope's newest ministry.  It is funded and coordinated through Lutheran Community Services and the Delaware Food Bank.  This program distributes fresh produce that has been gathered from local resources such as grocery stores.  The Food Bank of Delaware delivers the produce on the 1st  Monday of each month.  We never know what might be on the truck or how much will be available, but whatever we have is divided among the people who show that day.  Under the supervison of Connie Shipe and Hope's other volunteers, hundreds of pounds of produce are given out each month. If you are interested in helping, with the Fresh Produce Distribution, please contact Connie Shipe at 328-7909.
